Emily Dickinson wrote nearly 2,000 poems during her adult life yet only a handful were published.
In 1862, she submitted four poems to The Atlantic Monthly-- the magazine's rejection of her work led her to believe the public just wouldn't care for her poetry. She never again attempted to publish any of her work.
Emily attended Amherst Institute and Mount Holyoke Female Seminary, retired to her father's house and rarely left her room.
What would Emily say about blogging? Would she blog? I can see her writing a blog- but definitely doing it undercover with a fake name and certainly not using her real picture.
